BA to work with Banked on loyalty

British Airways is partnering with FinTech Banked for its Executive Club loyalty scheme.

In Brief:

  • This will allow customers to earn Avios loyalty points on everyday purchases.

  • Members who make a purchase via a Banked merchant can collect Avios at the checkout.

  • This means they don’t have to sign up to an additional credit card scheme to receive Avios.

What does this mean?

With many flights grounded and huge volumes of customers delaying their usual trips, loyalty schemes are a way for airlines to stay on the customer’s mind and show benefits. Making the system easier and more seamless now could mean customers are more likely to choose BA when they decide to travel again.
