Venture capital investor Augmentum FinTech is raising £40mn via an equity issue.

The funds will be used to invest in a pipeline of investments it has already identified.
Augmentum Fintech will issue up to 29.6mn new ordinary shares.
Shareholders will be able to buy discounted shares in exchange for some of their existing shares.
What does this mean?
AugmentumFintech invests in FinTech startups across Europe and says this is with a view to supporting them long term. Reportedly, it’s focusing on parts of its existing portfolio this time.
