Currencycloud raises £61mn

Cross-border payments FinTech Currencycloud has raised a total of £61mn in its latest funding round.

In Brief:

  • Investors included Visa, BNP Paribas and Softbank’s SBI Group.

  • This was the company’s Series E round.

  • The company has now raised a total of $107mn.

What does this mean?

The company plans to expand its technology portfolio.  This is Visa’s first investment in the company since a deal was signed between the two last year.
