Curve raises £1mn in five minutes via Crowdcube

Banking platform Curve has raised almost £6mn (as of 9am, 4 Sept) on popular crowdfunding platform, Crowdcube.

In Brief:

  • The FinTech raised £1mn in the first five minutes. And £4mn in 42 minutes.

  • Crowdcube allows individual users to invest as little as £10.

What does this mean?

Crowdcube has proved fruitful for a number of FinTech businesses including Monzo. This could be a sign that democratising investment by opening up the market to consumers is paying off for FinTechs.
