As part of a commitment we made last International Women’s Day, we’ve been regularly spotlighting the careers of women in FinTech to inspire others in the sector.
Here are some highlights from our series so far…
Question: Where do you find support in the FinTech world?
Randa Bennett, vHelp: “Building a network is one of the most important things a founder must do. It’s a slow process so you can’t expect to see the benefit straight away – you have to put yourself out there and help other people as much as you can.”
Victoria Kirillova, Relevant Software: “Network. Community. Never hesitate to ask for help. Always try to surround yourself with people more knowledgeable and experienced than you, and see how to grow up and adopt the knowledge.”
Eva Ducruezet, Gocardless: “Through our VC investors, including Balderton, Bain Capital Ventures and GV, I have been able to connect with fellow FinTech Chief People Officers across their portfolios.”
Ellison Anne Williams, Enveil: “As a whole, the financial industry is more willing than most to push boundaries and rethink the way things have always been done… we’ve also had great support from regulatory bodies and other third parties who are pushing for broader recognition and understanding of new technologies.”
Pamela Mead, SumUp: “I am very lucky in that I work with a group of really passionate and talented people. After I met various members of the leadership team, I felt convinced that I had found a fit personally and professionally.”
