Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Klarna on its US$650 million equity funding round, at a post-money valuation of US$10.65 billion.
The US$10.65 billion valuation ranks Klarna as the highest-valued private fintech in Europe and the fourth highest globally.
Founded in Stockholm, Sweden in 2005, Klarna is one of Europe's largest banks and provides payment solutions for 85 million consumers across more than 200,000 merchants in 17 countries, including direct payments, pay after delivery options and instalment plans.
The White & Case team which advised on the transaction included partners Martin Järvengren, Magnus Wennerhorn (both Stockholm) and Daniel Turgel (London) and associates Marcus Halling and Elin Brännström (both Stockholm).
