Tesco Bank and Onfido partner on biometrics

Tesco Bank has added biometric capabilities to its Pay+ shopping app.

In Brief: 

The Clubcard Pay+ app enables customers to pay in store with their Tesco Clubcard. 

It was developed by Tesco Bank and offers a loyalty scheme. 

Biometric onboarding is now available thanks to Onfido.

What does this mean? 

Tesco says that the onboarding capabilities powered by Onfido will help streamline the process for customers, by checking ID remotely against a customer’s face.
