Tencent, Wise partner on international money transfers

Wise has partnered with Chinese tech giant Tencent on money transfers. 

In Brief: 

Tencent Financial Technology and Wise will enable international money transfers for Weixin users. 

Weixin is the mainland China version of WeChat, operated by Tencent. 

They will be able to transfer money from 11 currencies into China. 

What does this mean? 

This is an additional, consumer facing service offered by Wise since it launched its B2B transfers through eight currencies lately.
