Starling Bank integrates Penfold  

Starling Bank has added pension platform Penfold to its platform.  

In Brief:  

  • Penfold is designed specifically for the self-employed and freelance workers.  

  • It allows users to manage and track pensions – they can add and choose where to invest their money.  

  • It is now available to Starling’s 180,000 SME customers.  

What does this mean?  

According to Penfold, around 15% of the UK population now works for themselves, so there’s a need for flexible, pension options. Starling has added the service because it says its vast number of self-employed users do not always factor pensions into their financial management.
