Solaris appoints new CEO

Solaris, previously known as Solarisbank, has appointed a new CEO. 

In Brief: 

Solaris offers banking-as-a-service solutions with a full banking licence in Germany. 

Carsten Höltkemeyer has replaced Roland Folz as CEO. 

He will take on the role from 1 May 2023. 

What does this mean?

Höltkemeyer joins the company from auxmoney and has previously worked at Nets Group. Current CEO Roland Folz says the company has grown to a workforce of over 700 across eight countries, and says that the business is just at the beginning of its journey, of which Höltkemeyer can start a new chapter.
