Scottish FinTech launches crowdfund

GiftRound is seeking to raise £75,000 via crowdfunding.

In Brief:

  • GiftRound is an online platform offering businesses a way to collate staff collections for birthdays and special occasions in the office.

  • The company launched in June 2018 and is growing by around 25% per month.

  • It has been supported by RBS’ Entrepreneur Accelerator.

What does this mean?

The company will now look to expand into other markets such as wedding gifts and primary schools. Through the funding it will seek to improve the user journey and make the customer experience more seamless. Stephen Ingledew, CEO of FinTech Scotland, said GiftRound is “an ideal example of what a FinTech is” in the way it uses technology and data to solve problems.
