Revolut has added a messaging feature as part of its bid to become a “super app”.
In Brief:
Revolut customers in the UK and EEA can share messages while requesting funds.
Revolut aims to encourage conversations relating to money within its app.
The chat messages will have end-to-end encryption.
What does this mean?
Revolut says it’s responding to discomfort around talking about money with two in three people finding it difficult to discuss. The FinTech says that having the conversations all in one place will make it “less awkward” – but it also adds yet another feature that aims to keep customers within the app for as many of their needs as possible, as it aims to become a super app.
