Wise and Plaid have entered into an open finance agreement to enable account to app connection.
In Brief:
Wise’s 13mn customers will be able to connect their accounts to “thousands” of apps.
This is enables through an open finance agreement with Plaid.
It will use Plaid’s open finance tool Core Exchange.
What does this mean?
The agreement means that Wise USD local accounts can be connected to thousands of apps (including the likes of Venmo) to move their money.
This comes as the company reported a record profit of $545 million in 2023
This latest funding will support senior hiring and drive customer acquisition, with a target of 300000 users in the next 2 years
