Nucleus Commercial Finance, which offers flexible solutions for SMEs, has announced a new £200mn funding line.
In Brief:
-
It comes from two global investment management firms.
-
Nucleus was launched in 2011 and now uses open banking to offer a holistic view of finances.
-
It has lent over £1.7bn to SMEs in the UK.
What does this mean?
Nucleus’ CEO, Chirag Shah, predicts that once Government Covid-19 related support comes to and end, there will be a high demand for funding from businesses. The company’s new funding line, from investors who are not named but described as “leading”, will bolster its ability to support SMEs.
