MPower set to close £350,000 funding

Swiss FinTech MPower is set to close an equity crowdfunding at more than £350,000.

In Brief:

  • The funding round is taking place on Crowdcube with nearly 320 investors.

  • It has surpassed its aim as £300,000.

  • Mpower aims to support financial inclusion and energy access in emerging markets.

What does this mean?

The company is building a scalable B2B model through partnering with local businesses. It enables communities to access solar power for their electricity without using fossil fuel based products or national grids. The business says this will also boost financial inclusion.
