The adoption of this API-driven technology, facilitated by Systems Limited, is part of Meethaq’s digital transformation strategy to offer innovative Islamic banking products. This move also aligns with a regional trend, as other banks in the Middle East and Africa have recently adopted Temenos' core banking solutions. Meethaq general manager, Shamzani Hussain, says the API-driven technology will be utilised to “embrace innovation and offer competitive Islamic banking products and services” as part of its “digital transformation journey”.
