Marqeta and Credi2 partner to provide new instalment capabilities for banks in Europe

Marqeta, global modern card issuing platform, has announced it is partnering with Vienna-based FinTech, Credi2.

In brief:

-  Marqeta’s card issuing platform will be integrated into Credi2’s platform for loan originations to enable banks to create flexible payment card programs.

- Access to instalment payments will be available through the bank’s app, enabling customers to split the cost of items before or after a purchase both online and instore.

- The partnership will allow banks to keep up with the rising consumer demand for BNPL and other popular financial trends.

What does this mean?

“With Marqeta and Credi2, our bank customers will be able to focus on creating a delightful experience for their customers that gives them greater flexibility, while we navigate the complexities on the backend. We’re proud to work with an innovative partner like Credi2 to bring more banks to the forefront of innovation in BNPL," says Marqeta Chief Revenue Officer Todd Pollak
