Leaders from Checkout.com, Oaknorth seek IPO reforms

FinTech founders are set to meet with the Economic Secretary to the Treasury to discuss the UK’s listing market, AltFi reports.

In Brief:

They include Founders from Checkout.com, Bought by Many and Oaknorth.

The Prime Minister and Digital Minister were also set to attend but it was reportedly unclear if the PM would make it.

The Founders will support the recommendations from Lord Hill’s UK Listings Review last year.

What does this mean?

The review aimed to examine the problem of the current IPO environment in London which means UK FinTechs often consider listing in other markets. Its recommendations included looking at dual-class share structures and lowering free float requirements.
