JP Morgan sells blockchain project to ConsenSys  

ConsenSys has agreed to acquire Quorum, an enterprise blockchain project, from JP Morgan.  

In Brief:  

• Quorum is an enterprise version of Ethereum blockchain, which was developed by JP Morgan.  

• The value of the deal is undisclosed.  

• JP Morgan will also make a strategic investment in ConsenSys.  

What does this mean?  

The two businesses have worked together for some time. The technology will now be offered as ConsenSys Quorum. ConsenSys says this marks a “major step” as it aims to accelerate enterprise blockchain adoption.
