Google Wallet is being expanded across the world and is set to replace Google Pay.
In Brief:
The company has started to roll out the wallet app to Android users in 39 countries.
It’s set to be available over the coming days and enables people to manage all their digital cards.
This includes not just payments but identity, vaccine status and tickets.
What does this mean?
Google Wallet is currently appearing as an update to Google Pay – with most countries seeing the replacement. However in the US and Singapore, Pay will still be used to transfer money and Wallet will also be an option.
