Stripe has announced GoFundMe is deploying its technology for payments.

It says this will enable the fundraising platform to ensure people are able to receive donations “quickly and efficiently”.
Now GoFundMe campaigns set up in the US or Canada will have payments automated by Stripe.
The giving platform has seen over $10bn raised across over 150mn donors over the past 10 years.
What does this mean?
It’s hoped GoFundMe will use Stripe’s tech to simplify the fundraising experience. GoFundMe says it has been attracted by Stripe’s global reach as it has a vision for international scale and expansion.
