Glasgow is the latest city in the UK to allow people to people to give to homeless people through FinTech.
In Brief:
-
This is part of the Street Change initiative.
-
It’s backed by Glasgow’s council as well as charities and businesses.
-
Money raised through contactless donations will be distributed by the Simon Community Scotland.
What does this mean?
As fewer people carry cash it has become necessary to set up contactless points for people to donate by card or mobile. The points in Glasgow have been supplied by GCI.
