IN BRIEF:
- The FinTech Development Roadmap of Taiwan has been released to the public since August 27, 2020
- There are four major objectives: Inclusion, Innovation, Resilience, and Sustainability, and four major groups, including the Capacity Building Group, Data Governance Group, RegTech Group, and Publicity & Exchange Group
- These have been set up for the step-by-step advancement and active development of FinTech in Taiwan, and after these years of efforts, there are many achievements to reflect on
What does this mean?
Highlights include the Capacity Building Group hosting the "FinTech Taipei Awards 2022" to gather the energy of the FinTech industry in Taiwan; the Data Governance Group setting up "TSP Information Disclosure Section" and promoting cross-institutional and cross-market data sharing; the RegTech Group promoting the digital supervisory reporting mechanism for bill finance companies with two platforms; and the Publicity and Exchange Group organizing inbound and outbound fintech seminars, international publicity and promotional activities.
