The hot startup only concluded its last raise two months ago
In Brief:
Pipe announced it has raised a further $250m in a round led by venture capital firm Greenspring Associates and has secured a valuation of £1.4bn.
This latest round comes on the heels of another $50m fund raise two months ago by a host of major investors. Pipe’s latest funding round was oversubscribed by $100m.
The Miami-based firm has grown rapidly since going live in 2020, with 4,000 companies signing up to its platform.
What does this mean?
Pipe allows companies to sell their recurring revenue stream - a model that has attracted great interest attention during the pandemic as investors and tech companies look for alternative forms both of fundraising and investment.
