Berlin-based embedded/capital has launched a €100mn fund to focus on embedded finance.
In Brief:
It’s been launched by Ramin Niroumand and Michael Hock, the founders of finleap.
The fund will focus on European Fintech startups at pre-seed and Seed stage.
Ticket sizes will be around €500,000-4mn.
What does this mean?
Embedded finance is a way for non-financial businesses to offer financial products and services, and it’s becoming a key part of how FinTech is impacting a number of sectors. Investors are taking note, with FinTech Alliance company mmob recently raising £5mn seed funding. For embedded/capital’s part, the fund has been oversubscribed from its initial goal of €80mn and it has hinted at accepting more from investors soon.
