Buy Now, Pay Later business Afterpay has revealed initiatives to support more “sustainable shopping”, according to a release.

The FinTech aims to “help consumers build a more mindful and eco-friendly wardrobe” as well as supporting the environment by giving back.
“Top up” by Afterpay will enable consumers to donate $1 at the checkout for sustainability focused charities.
Afterpay will match customers’ donations to Magpies & Peacock and Surfrider.
What does this mean?
In addition to the charitable giving, Afterpay has also committed to trying to mitigate the impact its users have on the environment in the first place by promoting the circular economy. It will launch a live shopping experience to promote sustainable brands.
