BBVA is changing its Open Talent competition for startups as it realigns its FinTech strategy.
In Brief:
The Open Talent Competition will include specific challenges startups need to solve through FinTech.
These challenges come directly from the bank’s business units in core countries.
These will include regulation and personal finance management.
What does this mean?
This is part of a wider realignment of BBVA’s relationship with FinTech – its Open Innovation unit has been working with an ecosystem of FinTechs. Winners across each country will be able to work through a proof of concept with BBVA. The aim is for the bank to get a usable product and startups to get “real” business.
