Barclays has rolled out digital receipts to its mobile banking users.
In Brief:
-
It has done this in partnership with digital receipt firm Flux.
-
Barclays first supported Flux through its Rise programme and has a stake in the FinTech.
-
Retailers like H&M and JustEat will be able to automatically send receipts to Barclays customers after a purchase.
What does this mean?
Digital receipts not only have the advantage of being paperless, but are part of the rise in digital and touch-free transactions spurred on by Covid-19. Flux will benefit from the partnership by gaining access to Barclays’ wide network of merchants.
