Bank of America is reportedly offering its customers the chance to trade in Bitcoin futures.
In Brief:
This was reported by sources to CoinDesk.
A select number of clients are now setting up to trade Bitcoin futures which are cash settled, said the sources.
It will also be using CME futures, according to the reports.
What does this mean?
If Bank of America is enabling clients to trade in Bitcoin futures, it’s only piloting this with a small number at the moment. The bank has a team dedicated to researching cryptocurrencies but has blocked advisors and clients from bitcoin-related investments since 2018. If there is a rollout, it will be cautious.
