Berlin-based B2B payments startup Mondu has officially registered with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and has started work with its first 16 UK clients.
In brief:
-This move comes after the company opened its London office in March and started hiring in the UK
-The company aims to provide a consumer-like experience in the B2B domain, with BNPL services for e-commerce checkouts and the newly introduced MonduSell for multichannel sales, both of which offer flexible payment options of 30, 45, 60, and 90 days.
-Among the first UK companies working with Mondu are technology provider PCSpecialist, electrical specialist Hughes Trade, business travel provider Clooper, lighting provider Sera Technology specializing in lighting, and sports nutrition firm Raw Sport.
What does this mean?
“With today’s news that Mondu is now regulated by the FCA, we are already primed to launch with a range of businesses across the UK. It’s an incredibly exciting day as the UK presents a great opportunity for B2B BNPL,” De’Ath said.
