AirWallex, an SME-focused FinTech, has added some experienced staff to its senior teams.
In Brief:
Juan Diego Farah, new head of SME for the UK, was previously an executive at Deliveroo.
Jessie Apple, new director of compliance, was formerly Revolut’s head of financial crime compliance.
Aside from these senior hires, AirWallex is also recruiting for over 35 roles at all levels.
What does this mean?
AirWallex says it has a “big year ahead” and intends to grow its headcount from 100 to 150 this year. It’s growing significantly throughout Europe, having originated in Australia.
Of the new hires, EMEA general manager Jed Rose says they have a “deep understanding of the FinTech and startup ecosystem that are vital to the growth and the success of our business”.
