Affirm looks to raise $1.5bn from Spark, Thrive

Affirm, a payment plan FinTech, hopes to raise $1.5bn in its latest funding round.

In Brief:

  • The company is valued at $3bn currently.

  • PayPal founder Max Levchin started the business.  

  • It raised $300mn in Series F funding recently, bringing total capital raised to $1.03bn.

What does this mean?

Affirm currently offers customers different payment plan options at the point of sale, tailored to their needs – now, it’s following the lead of major FinTechs and moving into the B2B market, which will require even more capital raised.
