Mastercard launches Tech for Good initiative

Mastercard has joined with financial services and technology businesses for the Tech for Good Partnership.

In Brief:

  • It will focus on the Latin America and Caribbean region.

  • The agreement includes Banco Galicia, Citibanamex, Bancolombia, Mercado Libre and PayPal.

  • The partners accelerate digital and financial inclusion.

What does this mean?

The partners want to expand financial services, partly to make it easier to offer financial aid where it is needed. They aim to be able to share best practices from their experience with the wider financial services ecosystem.
