Deel raises $30mn funding  

Remote working FinTech Deel has raised $30mn in its Series B round.  

In Brief:  

  • Deel enables companies to hire and pay remote workers.  

  • It operates in 100 currencies across about 144 countries.  

  • The round was led by Spark Capital.  

 
What does this mean?  

Following a $14mn round in May led by Andreessen Horowitz, this brings the company’s total raised up to $44mn this year. It’s aiming to be the go-to platform for freelance and contract workers working abroad.
