Toss seeks $200mn from investors

The company that manages Korean FinTech Toss is seeking additional funding.

In Brief:

• Viva Republica Ltd already gained $64mn in August 2019.

• Toss allows users to manage their bank accounts all in one place.

• It has around 10mn monthly active users.

What does this mean?

The funding will be used to expand the company’s online banking and security trading platforms. Viva says it might consider an IPO in the next few years. The funding round will be finalised in the coming months.
