Countingup gains £4mn, ING backing

SME banking and accounting app Countingup has raised £4mn funding.

In Brief:

  • The round was led by ING Ventures.

  • It also included Triple Point, CVentures and Big Start Ventures.

  • The business has processed over £1bn transactions for over 20,000 SME customers.

What does this mean?

Coutingup helps reduce cost and friction for SMEs by combining accountancy and banking in one digital solution – a goal that has obviously resonated with ING. The funding will be used to accelerate its product roadmap and make processes easier and more efficient. Countingup has cited lockdown as a time where many people will use apps like its offering to open bank accounts and start businesses.
