FinTech VC Anthemis raises $90mn

Financial services venture capital firm Anthemis has raised $90mn for a new fund.

In Brief:

  • The new fund is aimed at InsurTech.

  • It will focus on backing companies that are helping digitise the insurance industry.

  • Investors include Aflac Global Ventures, Sumitomo Life and Nürnberger in partnership with Daido Life Insurance Company.

What does this mean?

Founded in 2010, Anthemis is well known as a FinTech investment firm and has so far backed digital banks such as Atom.

Anthemis is also hosting one of the events in FinTech Alliance’s investment series.
