Uber focuses on FinTech in India

Uber is building a new Uber Money team in India

In Brief:

  • The company has set up a team of 100 technology professionals at the Hyderabad Tech Centre.

  • The Uber Money team already has a presence in Europe and the US.

  • It hopes to enable global features and improvements, such as developing cards, realtime earnings and Uber Wallet.

What does this mean?

Uber has stated its facility has “best in class” FinTech talent – its Hyderabad Engineering Centre started in 2014 and builds software products and platforms.

Uber Money was introduced in October last yeas as a dedicated team to work on Uber’s financial products. The company aims to make money management easier and more accessible.
