Softbank to lead funding round for LatAm FinTech

AlphaCredit is gearing up for a funding round worth up to $125mn.

In Brief:

  • AlphaCredit focuses on consumer finance, especially for those in underbanked areas.

  • The business aim to provide ‘fast, easy and flexible’ solutions to help individuals as well as small businesses.

  • So far, AlphaCredit has granted over $1bn in loans to clients in Mexico and Colombia.

What does this mean?

The company has stated its backing from Softbank will help cement its position as a leading player in the LatAm market. AlphaCredit also hopes to continue to expand in the region and remain competitive.
