Amazon introduces option to pay bills through Alexa

Amazon customers in India will now be able to pay their bills via voice assistant, Alexa.

In Brief:

  • Amazon Pay users in India will be able to make payments by giving voice commands to Alexa.

  • This will include bill payments such as utilities.

  • The feature will work across Amazon Echo, Fire TV Stick and other products.

What does this mean?

Amazon pay is a prepaid product which is used both in payment wallets and as UPI in India. It has proved very popular and will now become a regular habit for those who avail of the bill paying service.
