TransferWise launches in Australia

Transferwise has just integrated with its first Australian bank.

In Brief:

  • Digital bank Up is the first Australian bank to partner with Transferwise.

  • It allows customers to use the FX service directly through its app.

  • This makes Up the fastest and cheapest platform in Australia for international payments.

What does this mean?

The company traditionally partners with challengers like Up, but Business Insider Australia reports that it has not ruled out relationships with Australian incumbents.
