Salesforce and Westpac invest in open banking startup Basiq

Australian open banking platform Basiq has closed its series A funding round.

In Brief:

  • The round included NAB Ventures, Salesforce Ventures and Westpac’s Reinventure.

  • Basiq offers an aggregation platform for financial data.

  • The FinTech was founded in 2017 and its core product is now being distributed by Equifax.

What does this mean?

Damir Cuca, CEO, said that the company helps organisations gain meaningful insights into customers. At the moment the business can take advantage of new open banking legislation in Australia as it scales its operations.
