Amazon’s India boss has said ecommerce needs to thrive to counter slow economic growth in India.
Amit Agarwal made the comments to Reuters, saying Amazon has created 200,000 jobs since entering the Indian market in 2013.
This year India has made regulations tougher on ecommerce companies.
Local rivals to Amazon in India include Shopee and Walmartowned Flipkart.
