Purpose of the role

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager who will lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and project implementation plans, and risk mitigation.

Reporting to the Head of Product Delivery, the Senior Project Manager will coordinate internal and external resources, ensuring the project remains within scope, schedule, and defined budgets, in collaboration with project staff from various functional departments. You will analyse project progress and, when necessary, adapt scope, timelines, and costs to ensure that project teams adhere to project requirements. You will also establish and maintain relationships with appropriate client stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes.

Responsibilities

  • Working closely with the Product Owners and the team to understand the business challenges, risks and dependencies that will enable delivery of the strategic project outcomes 
  • Manage scope, establish and maintain project processes across the entire project lifecycle, setting project quality and performance standards to ensure timely delivery across multiple projects
  • Lead and co-ordinate Agile ceremonies, championing the application of the Ways of Working
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with outside resources including third-party vendors 
  • Monitor and assign resources appropriately to streamline project efficiency and maximize deliverable outputs; problem-solve and remove impediments 
  • Report project status, achievement of outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels as needed—escalating issues as necessary based on project work plans

What we are looking for

  • 5+ years project management experience in an agile environment
  • Hands-on experience with developing web technologies and software platforms for maximum usability
  • Proven success working with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Professional certification—including Agile PM/Certified Scrum Master
  • Previous success in producing deliverable software platforms ideally in retail financial services
  • Experience with MS Project / JIRA/Confluence / collaborative tooling 
  • Strong attention to deadlines and project constraints
